Dear Santa,
Happy holidays from all your friends here at She Supply in Flower Mound, Texas! Seeing as it’s December and almost time for your travels, we thought we’d write you another Christmas letter because frankly, you knocked last year’s wish list out of the park. And since for the most part we’ve stayed away from the naughty side of things this year, we thought we’d take another crack at making the NICE list.
As I’m sure you will recall from our letter last year, She Supply is on a mission to end period poverty in North Texas. As you can imagine, that’s way too big an ask for us to do alone, but thankfully, we’re not alone. We have the best group of friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors you can imagine. If anyone can picture tons of helpers working tirelessly on your behalf to help make people’s lives better you can. And that’s what we’ve got at She Supply.
Back in April, we held our first annual Community Collection Event and thousands of people from more than a dozen faith communities, companies, and nonprofits worked and contributed period products and monetary donations equivalent to almost 90,000 products! The efforts were inspiring and humbling and made us want to work even harder to serve the women and girls living in poverty in DFW.
In September, we collected more than 5,000 products from high school and college students in our second annual Summer of SHE, and as of this writing, we’ll still counting the products we received in our first annual Corporate Collection Drive. All in, more than 100,000 products in just three drives!
Suffice to say, it’s been an incredible year and we’re proud to tell you that this year alone, we’re on track to distribute more than 700,000 products. Not bad considering it took us six years to get to our first million. Next year, our goal will once again be to distribute ONE MILLION products, and we know we can do it!
Santa, last year when we wrote you our Christmas letter, we asked you for five things:
- More products
- More donors.
- More volunteers.
- More partners.
- More opportunities to help women and girls in need.
Like we said before, you knocked that request out of the park because this year, we got everything on our list. And while we’d love more of the same for 2025, this year, all we really want to ask you for is an extra big sack full of blessings.
- For all the women and girls living in poverty in DFW
- For the homeless women and girls living on the street
- For the generous people who support our mission with their time, money, and products
- For our 20+ partners on the front lines running the domestic abuse shelters, food pantries, and female empowerment organizations serving the families we help
- For the volunteers, board members, and partners who help us serve those in need
- For the Title 1 schools that we’ll start supporting next year
For all of these people, Santa, we wish God’s richest blessings and a happier 2025. While you’re at it, throw in some extra blessings for you, Mrs. Claus, and your whole support staff. You’ve earned them.
At She Supply, we feel incredibly blessed to do the work we do and it’s with full hearts that we wish you very Happy Holidays! We love adding joy and love into the lives of those less fortunate and we know you do too. We believe in what you’re doing, and we appreciate everything you do to make the world a happier, more generous and loving place.
Thanks Santa! See you on the 24th! The cookies will be waiting.
